Acar, Aktan.
He completed another PhD program in Architecture, which he started at Gazi University in 2009, and finalized at Çankaya University in 2014.
He participated in the Child and Architecture studies of TMMOB Chamber of Architects Ankara Branch, and became a participant and coordinator in national and international workshops.
He worked as an architect at the METU Rectorate, and conducted the research and establishment of the first collection of the METU Science and Technology Museum.
He gave first-year lectures and studio courses as a specialist at Gazi University Department of Architecture between 2005 and 2013, and as a part-time lecturer at Çankaya University and TOBB ETU Architecture Departments between 2013 and 2014.
Since 2016, at TOBB ETU Department of Architecture, runs the Basic Design Studio as a full time Assist. prof.
He has received prizes, honorable mentions and purchasing awards from national and international architectural project competitions he participated in with different teams.
He works on the use of neuropsychological tests, virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies to monitor the visual-spatial perception and skills of architecture students.
He conducts various workshops with children and first year arhcitecture students to improve design thinking and skills in fighting climate change.
Reader and researcher of the De Architectura by Vitruvius.
Academic Advisor to Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.
