Biography

She received her Ph.D. degree in 2007 from METU Biochemistry Department. She won the “thesis of the year award” of METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Parlar Education and Research Foundation and the Balkan Clinical Laboratories Federation 2008 Clinical Laboratory Research First Prize. She worked at the Ministry of Health Hygiene Center between 2006-2013. Since 2013, she has been working at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Department of Biomedical Engineering. Her research interests include the determination of molecular and genetic risk factors for multiple sclerosis, development of biomarkers that can be used in the early diagnosis of this disease and that will reflect the responses to drugs and disease activity at an early stage. In clinical studies carried out for these purposes, genetic polymorphisms, protein concentrations, microRNAs and gene and protein expressions involved in some pathways are examined.
