After receiving my degree, I returned back to Turkey and worked in the renewable energy business. After working on solar energy projects, I worked on development, performance optimization and execution of combined power plants.
In the meantime, I contributed to the local universities education program, as a visiting instructor, I taught Energy Engineering class at the Mechanical Eng. Dept. of Baskent University. After teaching undergraduate courses, I taught graduate classes at the Mechanical Eng. Dept. of TOBB Economics and Technology University, Thermal Radiation and then Advanced Heat Conduction. I was a faculty member at the Department of Mechatronics Engineering of Istanbul Commerce University, where I taught graduate and undergraduate courses.
I have started at the Mechanical Eng. Dept. of TOBB Economics and Technology University as an Asst. Professor and I will continue to do research on thermal systems design, renewable energy and sustainability, energy storage.
My specialized areas are: Power plant design, performance optimization, solar, waste heat systems, power and cooling combined cycles, experimental techniques, measurement systems.
