On January 16, 2001, he was appointed General Director of the State Archives of the Prime Minister s Office. In October 2003, he was elected as a Member of the Executive Committee of the Turkish Military History Commission. Between 2004 and 2012, he served as a Member of the Information Acquisition Evaluation Board by the Council of Ministers. In 2004, he was appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Branch of the International Archive Council. In 2005, DPT 9. He worked at the Cultural SpecialIzation Commission on the Development Plan. He served as a member of UNESCO Turkey National Commission and a member of the Board of Directors of the Yunus Emre Institute.
Since 2012, he has served as Dean and Vice Rector of TOBB University of Economics and Technology Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
