Abstract: In this study, a beam-steering photoconductive antenna array operating in the terahertz band, which is an important potential candidate for 6G and beyond communication systems, was developed. The designed terahertz source incorporates a 4 x 1 spiral antenna array with broad-spectrum radiation capabilities, enabling beam steering within a range of ±60° in the 0.8-2 THz band, and featuring an antenna gain of 12.7 dBi. The terahertz antenna array design and radiation were charaterized in time domain. © 2024 IEEE.
