Publisher: | Wiley | Abstract: | In October 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey, a group of professors, who were seeking to explore the thresholds in architectural education, asked their students register for a 10-day workshop to design “a school of one's own: a school of architecture”. The workshop finished with the presentation of five schools represented each with different mediums, such as stop-motion movies, website design, smartphone applications, models and graphics. This chapter shares the schools designed by these students at this workshop. The schools designed were termed as the Flexible School, the Architect of the Future, the Travelling School, the BACKYARD platform, and Own Kind of Architect. The chapter draws upon the main qualities and discussions of each school. © ISTE Ltd 2020. | URI: | https://doi.org/10.1002/9781119751427.ch18 https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11851/12556 |
