Abstract: Computer engineering is a fast growing and improving area. With the advancement of mobile devices, computer manufacturing industry is growing especially in the mobile-oriented subjects. Many companies are growing in the area and require more qualified and experienced workforce than it is available in the market. Educating engineering candidates for the needs of the aggressive Silicon Valley industry has become an important challenge. In this paper we present a new engineering education model that allows the education of human resources for a company globally, before the candidate steps into the company as an intern. We present a case study where a collaboration effort between the Vivante Corporation (USA) and TOBB University of Economics and Technology (Turkey) resulted in an international co-op program. © 2012 IEEE.
