Abstract: In order to determine the structural advantage of new H beam implant, pull out tests were conducted for perforated and non-perforated models of H beam implant until the" H" beam implants pulled from the polyurethane blocks which were used as a bone model. Tests were performed with a total of 12 H-beam implants with 6 perforated and 6 non perforated implant. Polyurethane (PU) blocks were produced containing polyol and polyisocyanate. The polymerization process act as fusion of soft tissue with H-beam implants. The mean maximum pull-out force for the perforated H-beam implant was 3215.72 ± 559.06 N and 2643.68 ± 718.94 N for non-perforated implants. Although the pull-out strength of perforated implants was 20.2% higher than H-beam implants, no statistically significant difference was found between them. The study showed that a perforated implant can accelerate the healing of femoral neck fracture and the stability of this implant is higher than the stability of conventional implants. © 2019 Ministry of Health.
