Title: | Ontological and Epistemological Grounding of Fuzzy Theory | Authors: | Türkşen, İsmail Burhan | Keywords: | [No Keywords] | Publisher: | Springer-Verlag Berlin | Source: | IFSA 2007 World Congress -- JUN 18-21, 2007 -- Cancun, MEXICO | Series/Report no.: | ADVANCES IN SOFT COMPUTING | Abstract: | An Ontological and Epistemological foundation of Fuzzy Set and Logic Theory is reviewed in comparison to Classical Set and Logic Theory. It is shown that basic equivalences of classical theory breakdown but are re-established as weak equivalences as a containment relation in fuzzy theory. It is also stressed that the law of conservation of information is still upheld within fuzzy theory. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11851/7219 | ISBN: | 978-3-540-72433-9 | ISSN: | 1615-3871 |
