Changing aspects of social life and new economic systems have affected public socialization and recreation concepts. Personal recreation activities have changed towards taking on a more consumptional route. Contemporary shopping centers are the new spatial reflections of these new recreational forms. This study aims to analyze the recreational spaces in shopping centers and to bring forth some design proposals for the further studies.en_US
