| dc.description.abstract | Ultra-weak fiber Bragg grating (UWFBG) arrays have recently emerged as essential tools for quasi-distributed fiber optic sensing, particularly in applications such as temperature measurement, structural health monitoring and underwater acoustic sensing. However, significant cross-talk can occur in near-identical serial FBG sensor networks due to multiple reflections as result, the individual sensor readings become blurred or indistinguishable, reducing the accuracy and reliability of the measurements. Since the cross-talk effect cannot be directly and independently observed from the signal, experimental investigations into cross-talk present considerable challenges [1, 2]. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved. | en_US |
