Abstract: Unmanned air vehicles (UAV) have been widely used in the telecommunication area. Using them as base stations is one of the applications. Optimizing the position of the UAVs is the important factor in the performance of the application. Previously, particle swarm optimization(PSO) has been used for the optimization. In this paper, a new method called Taguchi method is also considered. As a result Taguchi method is seen to bring some advantages.
