Demet Varoğlu received her undergraduate and graduate (MBA) degrees from the Department of Business Administration at METU. She received her PhD degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences. Starting from an assistant position in 1984 she had been an academic staff member of the Department of Business Administration at METU until 2006. She became an associate professor of Organizational Behavior in 2000, then attained a full professor title in 2018. She has been working at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Department of Business Administration since 2006. Currently, she is teaching courses on Introduction to Business Administration, Introduction to Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, and Negotiation. She has publications on organizational commitment, conflict, gender, employment, power in organizations, information sharing, emotions in organizations and counterproductive work behaviors.
